Heavy Artillery

They say that there’s something about a man in uniform, personally I think I prefer the scruffy salt-crusted more dishevelled type so enough about boys in uniforms let’s talk about girls.  The military coat has proved it’s worth through the ages from World Wars to Balmain, it’s diversity is unmeasurable and in my opinion should

You may have once been like me and thought that high tops could never really be your thing, well let me tell you once you try you have to buy .. it’s like an addiction.  Just a quick lesson in how I’ve been wearing mine, it’s all about simplicity and a simple silhouette.  Everyday high

Buckled

Blame it on Celine for starting the trouser & slides formula but whether you like it or not once you try it you’re hooked.  Finally a way to put together a look that is not only considered seriously acceptable but comfortable as well (let’s not be too hasty here and ebay those Laurent 9

In Between

On the run between appointments in Paris there is no better option for the kind of feet that are used to 35’c and a thong tan, than trainers.  Thank god even Uncle Karl has given us the green light on this one.. next stop Chanel.. x coat: Camilla & Marc | inexpensive option .. here  .

Neck High

Something to share with that great aunt of yours who spends half of the summer wrapped up like a mummy due to those carefree adolescent years swathed in oil, much like a turkey, who’s neck she now bare’s a resemblance to, to her greatest disgust.  The cashmere rolled, foulard enfolded, scarf bound, skivvy clad

Before you go through your wardrobe this change of season and throw out the neon knits of 2012 or the DIY studded denim cut-offs(you know you had couldn’t resist getting crafty) be mindful of those old pointed pumps sitting towards the back .. long gone reminders of the Sex in the City era when fitted singlet tops were cool along with hair accessories and power shoulders. Thank goodness for the basic pump .. at least some things never change.. xx

If you’re in the Northern Hemisphere right now I’m envious beyond words, so I’m taking the last chance I get before my bones begin to freeze to wear the most ridiculously tiny summer worthy shorts I own. Well actually I’m lucky enough to live in one of the warmer Australian states… still I’m not going to lie when I tell you I get cold in Bali so winter is definitely not my thing..praise be to wood fires and vodka to get this sunbird through the winter.. xx

Christine Updated

One of the best parts of fashion week is watching the stylish unravel their latest looks and as you know Christine Centenera is one of my all time favourites..

On The Prowl

For the most part of my life my feelings on leopard print have left me scarred from watching too many episodes of Real Housewives. I don’t know how Stella McCartney managed to rebrand leopard but from the moment I saw her head to toe feline ensembles she had me thinking French street chic rather than Orange County, although I’m sure that Tamra wouldn’t mind ..

Midnight In Nolita

Once in a blue moon or should I say snow storm you’re lucky enough to experience mother nature at her best. To see a New York city street completely

abandoned and so quiet that you can only hear the soft silence of snowflakes falling on sidewalks is something kind of amazing. There’s no chic way to dress for these conditions, it’s all about thermal underwear, 10 layers of everything and having an incredible friend who’s as crazy as you, ah but some things are worth freezing for ..
