Throughout out lives our parents have always shared advice and passed on their favourite pearls of wisdom. You know the drill; If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all, use your manners, eat your vegetables. But something that has always stuck with me is advice my dad gave me many years ago which is ‘a good investment is a good idea’, and dad, I couldn’t agree more.
But perhaps my idea of an investment might be a little different to his, sure I’ve heeded advice of the classic options; real estate, smart banking, cars etc. But I think adding something a little different to the investment repertoire can be a smart move, especially when it involves goodies such as designer handbags.
Ladies and Gents, when planning for the future why not do so with your investment by your side, as in right by your side that is… Just like this Chloe bag number thanks to my fam at Selfridges, a smart investment if I’ve ever seen one.
A French woman once told me that a designer handbag is something that is often gifted to girls for their 21st birthday. While it may seem a little unusual at first, it makes perfect sense when you think about it – a classic handbag will never go out of style and is something that can be cared for for a lifetime. An item to be treasured and handed down to their daughters in the future, so they can carry on the tradition.
Think the Saint Laurent chain bag, a Givenchy Antigonia, Gucci Marmot or of course, the Chloe Tess Cross Body Bag. The classics never go out of style and that to me, is the kind of investment I will happily take the plunge for.
So to all the mums and dads, thank you for the good advice, we will always carry your advice with us, quite literally speaking over our shoulders… xx
