I have always strongly believed that a picture can speak a thousand words. And when the location is Santorini, visual storytelling is fully justified.
Having travelled to Santorini three years ago, it has to be one of my favourite destinations to date, and it is here we find this weeks Sunday Sanctuary, the Vora Villas. Overlooking a volcano dreamscape with stunning views of the islands’ more celebrated sunsets, Vora comprises of three private villas carved into caves and cliffs, suspended high above the sea.
Design by Athens based architecture firm K-Studio, who created a more contemporary layout to the existing villa, which maximises light and takes full advantage of the spectacular view. Throughout the hotel you will find custom made furniture by local craftspeople and native materials, such as black volcanic rock which only help to enhance the hotel’s authenticity.
