Life of late has been a little crazy, they say that it’s good to be busy and although I agree, it doesn’t always come naturally to yours truly .. the day dreamer. People often ask me where I find my inspiration and the answer is firstly always nature. I feel as though when you quieten your surroundings that you have more room to think, to day dream, to come up with ideas that you normally would never have dreamt of.
Luckily for myself and some of my team we were recently handed the opportunity to travel to Tropical North Queensland to sample the ‘bounty’s .. and I’m not just talking about the chocolate bar. Located on what is listed as one of the 7 natural wonders of the world, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, is the photogenically magical Bedarra Island . When our host’s Kerri-Ann and Sam met us at the heli-pad after a short flight from Cairns, it felt like something out of an episode of the TV show Fantasy Island. Bedarra Island is one of those hidden treasures in a world that’s overcome with social media and over-sharing. Remote yet close, hidden yet waiting for adventure, with a maximum of 16 guests allowed on the Island at any one time, it’s not just luxury it’s the luxury of space and the romance of seclusion. Thankfully with a house full of girls not a lot of romance went on, other than the love of the surroundings and the 24 hour open bar … say no more. Anyway if you’re heading to Queensland or even to Australia for that matter you need to visit Bedarra, tell Kerri-Ann and Sam that I sent you, although maybe that’s not a good idea, let’s just say hopefully the open bar is still stands ..
A very special thank you to the team at Bedarra Island and to Tourism Queensland for allowing us to come and play .. xx
