In awe I stepped into a white domed shaped runway, with a roof consisting of shattered mosaic glass. As a long time admirer of the one of the most historic fashion brands, I sat eager at the edge of my seat for what Maria Grazia Chiuri and the entire Dior team had created.
Carefully crafted stories have become somewhat of a trademark for Chiuri, stories of female empowerment and youthful eccentricity have become a concrete starting point of each collection. For Spring 2018 Ready To Wear, Chiuri story began with a love for art and passion for femininity, it was clear this collection was one of strength and beauty.
As the models marched towards my camera, in low block-heeled Mary Janes or black mesh knee-boots a sense of 70s flare was in the air… one that brings me right back to Ziggy Stardust days, lets not go there – Dior 70s land is the place to be.
