In an outer suburb of Barcelona you will find a Labyrinth… Not the David Bowie kind, but the kind that is home to and the passion project of Catalan sculpture Xavier Corbero. In what is a true lifetime in the making, Corbero has spent 40 years constructing the 8 acre, 9 building estate, over half his lifetime. Breathtakingly beautiful, this still to be finished living artwork is representational of the relationship between art and architecture, and how sometimes they are one in the same.
As Picasso once said “everything you can imagine is real”, in the case of Corbero, you just have to build it yourself… x
