This is what you get when you combine too much excitement with a lashing of mid-week creativity. The Balenciaga bug bit me a long time ago but with the addition of ex-Vetements’ Demna Gvasalia to the stable, what was once a bite is now a full blown epidemic.
Balenciaga’s PreFall 2016 collection had my entire office feeling a little weak at the thigh high foil covered knees. With oversized leather aviator jackets, boxy tweed twin sets and the above shearling coated goodness, it’s easy to see why this collection had us lining up at the door. The scarf of the season being my first acquisition, with buttery soft leather on one side and the fleecy Balenciaga banner on the other .. one might call this little baby ‘shear’ perfection ..no?
