It’s not every day that you are propositioned with the opportunity to photograph 7 separate models within a 2 hour time frame on Rue De Rivoli, one of the busiest streets in Paris. Literally upon direct departure from the Valentino show in the Tuilleries, and running in ‘not so practical’ footwear to our location, I was recently blessed with the honour of photographing a fashion editorial for the incredible luxury Australian print publication ‘WISH Magazine’.
An opportunity to work with such an eponymous magazine as this doesn’t come along often enough and with an unparalleled calibre of partners and creatives working alongside one another to publish some of the most beautiful content in Australia, it was an honour to be involved. Working closely with high profile Australian stylist Mikey Ayoubi, amongst a sea of tourists, non-stop fashion week street congestion and might I add one rogue Chow Chow, the list of highlights could only add to being one of most memorable experience I’ve been blessed with to date.
Working closely with the Australian Fashion Chamber (AFC), WISH Magazine and the team were able to highlight some of the key Australian Designers represented in the AFC showroom during PFW Fall 2016. Designers Christopher Esber, Tome, Strateas Carlucci, Romance Was Born, Ginger & Smart, Bianca Spender and Rebecca Vallance are the magnificent seven. Such magnificence comes most obviously from each designer’s dynamic skill set, but additionally in this instance from a set of 7 of the most well spirited models that I’ve worked with yet. Zero degree temperatures, traffic, time restrictions and even a Chow Chow could not stop this shoot, and as Mikey and I laughed on the day … only on the street of Paris ..
