Sometimes….I have to pinch myself. Amongst a sea of emails in my inbox this week was one with the subject description “Louis Vuitton” and I had to do a double take. This weekend marked the opening of Louis Vuitton’s 13th Maison store in George Street Sydney and myself along with some of my favourite Australian bloggers Studded Hearts, Gary Pepper Vintage, 4th & Bleeker and Zanita were lucky enough to attend.
Global Chairman and Ceo of Louis Vuitton Yves Carcelle cut the ribbon to open the store along with the uber radiant(yes! even more so in real life) Kate Blanchett. Among the luxury hand made leather goods, jewellery and best in Ready To Wear was the sculptured works of London artist Billie Achilleos. Being an artist myself I fell in love with the collection of critters and if you’re in the area they’re definitely worth a look. If you’re also in the mood for slipping down the face of a glassy green barrel on a shiny silver Louis Vuitton surfboard go no further, there’s something in the maison for the fashion elite and lovers of fine things alike.
