There is a full blown MGC cheer squad here at the OF headquarters. It probably wouldn’t take you long for you to guess who the squad leader is with the loudest roar and the biggest pom poms. We’ve long been fans of Christian Dior and the long list of house designers who have managed to successfully interpret his vision and evolve the brand over time. However when Maria Grazia Chiuri began her appointment in 2016 as the first female artistic director for the brand we knew that it would be a match made in heaven.
Quoted in recent years as saying “When I arrived, I decided to think about femininity in a way that is contemporary, women are different now”, Maria Grazia Ghiuri would appear to have an innate understanding of the modern woman and what appeals to her senses.
This Chistian Dior Spring 2019 collection highlighted for us, all of the things that we’re loving right now not just about fashion but about one of our favourite fashion elements, accessories. Oversized blush colour sunglasses, burnished gold hardware dotted with J’adior charms and trinkets and our favourite Dior Saddle Bag harnessed in a way that allows the millennial girl to go upon her day uninterrupted by fuss and still look uber chic.
