Byron Bay is a fantabulous place. The food, the wildlife, the beaches and the boys are all top quality and if I do say so myself the perfect backdrop for your next rendezvous. Byron is all of these things and it is also the locale for my latest project with one of Australia’s most beautiful accessory brands… Oroton.
Set against the surroundings of the highly coveted Rae’s On Wategos (every social media darlings dream location) my team and I hit this amaze hotel with a box full of Oroton goodies and a holiday spray tan. Oroton has long been a favourite amongst the local fash-set but with the newly appointed Sophie Holt as Creative Director things are about to get a whole lot more interesting.
Bringing the A-game with ridiculously chic woven cross body bags, buttery soft leather clutches and the kind of gold statement earrings that are the type of pieces you never feel like taking off .. even after one or two Byron style margaritas, not speaking from experience obvs.
With summer around the corner there was no better place on earth to photograph these dreamy pieces. A colour palette of milky ivory and neutrals had us feeling all-white, and what better way to have fun in the sun than playing hide and seek behind my favourite cross body bag, or balancing the occasional messenger on ones head; sun protection never looked so good.
In celebration of our collaboration together, I’ve also dished the insider goss for the Oroton team on some of my favourite styling tips for summer, and my personal insights on how I started out in this incredible industry.
So if you’re looking for the perfect accessories this summer, or some inspiration on how to style handbag as a hat, make sure you check out my interview here at the Oroton Journal
