A monolithic runway length mirror sat adjacent to the freshly-combed sandy catwalk as models serenely glided onto the stage for this season’s Hermès Spring 2019 show. Every now and then wafts of powdery white clouds floated across the scene in an engineered masterpiece to resemble that of fluffy white clouds, it was something that only dreams are typically made of #whenfashdreamscometrue.
The Hermès show is one of my favourites to attend. The attention to quiet and considered detail goes beyond the loud noise of what some other fashion shows would call a parade. Here seated at Hermes, the lucky onlooker is treated with luxury in the form of not only a paired back backdrop, but the beauty of exquisitely tailored leather ensembles and a smorgasbord of deliciously good bags and shoes.
The contemporary girl yearns for intelligent detailing, modern shapes and has a discerning eye for wardrobe items that will be highly coveted by her daughters and the occasional best-friend-in-distress for years to come. The 2019 Spring collection yet again proves that Hermès is one brand that we will all be continuing to invest in… just be sure to keep an eye on you lend it to.. x
