I never thought I’d say that cave dwelling would be a dream of mine, but one look at this place and it’s the only aesthetic on my mind. While not a cave in the true sense of the word, the arched windows and door frames tell the story of something from another time, while intelligent modern design brings you right back to the here and now.
Hundreds of years old, this building situated in Tel Aviv facing the beautiful Mediterranean sea has been brought to life by Israeli architect Pitsou Kedem. Different rooms have been united through nuanced designed and original gems such as the domed stone ceiling where uncovered and restored with care to echo the genuine form of this dream dwelling.
Our mums may have told us that it’s best not to dwell… But one thing’s for sure, they wouldn’t have said that if they’d seen this space first..x
