It was my goal .. I must admit to wear more dresses. It’s no wonder that you hadn’t seen me in anything this ladylike for a long while when a recent rustle through my repository could uncover no more than the aforementioned.
Don’t get me wrong I love a good gown as much as the next girl, but when it comes to finding the perfect number for summer I may be a little bit fussy (a slight under-exaggeration I can admit).
So the challenge was put forward to up the stakes in the smock department, something simple and not too sultry, something classic but not too coy, something cheeky but not to chintzy .. no easy feat am I wrong? First step was to hit up MatchesFashion.com to find a dress that ticked all the right boxes, with maybe a sprinkling of exaggerated sleeve for good measure… and wallah Jacquemus was my man.
Before I could even book my summer vacay, a box of summery goodness arrived at my doorstep and waited patiently for me to pack my bags, or actually more imperatively to book a trip. So for now I am in practice for a trip to Positano, I’ll be sure to bring my shift dress so long as you can promise to bring the sun ..
