It’s nearly over peeps, the end of the year is nigh! Hopefully right now you’re enjoying some sloshy end of year drinks with your work buddies and packing that well worn suitcase for another hard earned end of year adventure.
When I think about holidays in a fashion sense, I like to think of myself swanning around some aesthetically pleasing umbrella clad beach in an uber chic swimsuit with a mojito at the ready. The reality of course is usually quite the opposite. A suitcase stuffed with too many tops and not enough bottoms (best not to imagine that visual), an abundance of random hair products and not enough underwear, sound familiar no?
The secret to getting it right when it comes to packing for your summer vacay, lies not in the quantity of the paraphernalia that you schlep, but the quality. I like to think that all you really need is a good swimsuit, some lightweight ‘smorgasboard-friendly’ separates, sunscreen and a couple of pairs of social media worthy shoes .. after all shoes do make the outfit, am I right?
Any holiday outfit can be made great with a pair of Stella McCartney mules, practical enough to stumble home tipsy in, and multi-purposeful enough to be teamed with any ensemble (impulse buy batik sarongs included). So girls if you’re catching my vibe, I’ve singled out two of my favourite pairs. Get your passport at the ready, pack your camera and let’s hit the equator.
Pink Mules & Croco Loafers: Stella McCartney via Farfetch . White Bikini: Her The Label . Cream Origami Top: Charlie May . Blush Skirt: TY-LR
