This abode has me thinking of the darker side… and in Ibiza no less. Straying from the traditionally much-loved, bright white interiors and abundant natural lighting, this island hotel has a distinct earthy and relaxed vibe, and you guys, I’m all for that. La Granja is the result of a collaboration between Design Hotels and design studio Dreimeta, who transformed this once private property into a member’s only retreat. With ten hectares of isolated farmland and citrus groves, the interiors and overall designs were employed to embrace the buildings original Moorish influences, and Iberian architecture. The residence is many things, calm and comfortable, yet elegant and luxurious, all while embracing the beautifully scarred surroundings.
Intelligent design incorporating burnt wood, brushed and oiled ash, stone and slate manage to encompass the past, in a cool and contemporary way. With secluded cosy nooks inside and out, it’s very own farm-to-table cuisine, pool and outdoor area, this luxurious space ticks all the boxes… Don’t be surprised if you see me traipsing around Spain sometime soon, I’d love you to join me (insert red dancing lady emoji here!)..x
