It’s funny you know, I started the Journal to tell visual stories .. tales of whispy white haired Nordic girls cloaked in oversized clever cardigans, or angular Aussie Fresh Faces pulling abstract poses in Alexander Wang.
It’s just that the more that I collaborate with other creatives and the more cool girls that we shoot, I find that the stories on the day are just as good as the stories we end up shooting, a happy coincidence I guess.
You might recognise Izzy Jarrett from past editorials from Vogue Australia and Russh etc, but Izzy and I go way back and she was one of the first girls that I ever styled .. no you’re not going to see those photos today, TG. She’s got a kick arse sense of humour and makes the kind of playlists that will leave you too embarrassed to share your Spotify account. Anyway she moves like a serpent .. notice how I didn’t say snake, (there’s a difference you know and the initially aforementioned is best), and she knows how to wear clothes.
So with Iz and my amazing photographer friend Janneke, some of my girls and I, tracked up a small mountain to shoot some pictures. Just as an FYI, next time you go hiking I suggest you leave your garment bags full of Celine & Proenza, three tubs of equipment, C-Stand and mirror behind.
Anywho, we hope that you love this editorial, where we pulled some of my fav must-have pieces currently from Parlour X. Mixing Vetements with Thrasher tees, and giving you the down-low on some of our favourite high-low combo’s was what it’s all about. Bisous Bisous.
