A coat..in ‘fashion’s’ humble opinion, is merely not a coat.. it is a statement, a practicality and more than anything a ‘personality’. When I moved into my newly renovated pad just a year ago, the space in my wardrobe allocated to outerwear may have been meagre if not non-existent. I guess that you can blame the fact that I live in a state where the temperate rarely drops below 15’C alas, that was no real excuse.
You see in the last 12 months the collection of coats that I’ve accumulated seems too have quadruplicated, and the primary reason void of necessity, is due to the fact that the coat to most ensembles is the ‘icing on the cake’. Lately my go-to is of the oversized variety, boxy and structured, the perfect balance of feminine meets masculine and just the way we like it. With outwear like this is may even be time to extend the wardrobe or better still another renovation could be on cards .. I’m sure that my man won’t mind ..
