Sometimes it takes a male’s perspective to highlight the beauty in the female form. Think artists such as the Impressionist’s, even Henri Matisse for example, a modernist in his own right with a long affinity for bringing to light new ways of observing the female form. In a more current setting and in my own opinion of equal genius, is another expert in profiling the contours and shapes of the ‘femme moderne’, Mr Dion Lee. Unquestionably one of Australia’s most acclaimed designers, with a long running history for breaking new boundaries when it comes to the art of quite literally wrapping women, Dion is the definition of an artist.
Fortunately for yours truly, next week I have the great honour of working alongside of Mercedes-Benz Australia with official Ambassador Coco Rocha in celebration of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival Sydney. Designers such as Dion, along with the likes of other Australian greats will highlight their collections in a stellar line-up to celebrate Spring Summer 2016. With so much to look forward to and such an array of incredible talent in the one place we can only take inspiration from Henri Matisse himself who once said .. ‘Creativity takes courage’ ..well in that case let the creativity flow ..
