Well it’s a wrap, MBFWA or Australian Fashion Week has finally come to an end and this year I was lucky enough to be honoured with the role of ‘Official Myer Correspondant’. The privilege of working with one of Australia’s largest and most prestigious retailers, stocking some of the best designers both Nationally and Internationally came with all sorts of bonuses including the opportunity to work with several of the designers up close. Kym Ellery, Toni Maticevski, Tome, Aje, By Johnny, Kate Sylvester and Jayson Brunsdson were the highlighted designers as a part of the Myer stable, and during the week I was able to interview the designers for the MBFWA live stream as well as Myer’s own channel, work backstage with the designers on pre-show interviews and coverage, as well as correspond for the Myer brand across their digital channels. As a wind up of the week gone by and using Autumn Winter 2015 as an inspired theme I’ve put together some artworks of my favourite photographs of the week. Alpine landscapes, nordic snow scenes and stormy backdrops create a foundation for each look to melt into nature, shape and form .. where fashion becomes art and art becomes fashion. I hope that you’re inspired, after all what is fashion without creativity, and in the words of Coco Chanel herself .. “Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” xx
Looks in order from top to bottom ..
