On your average Tuesday evening at the Louvre, where history and art run deep, Nicolas Ghesquière’s Spring 2018 collection for Louis Vuitton came to life.
The ever so clever Ghesquière combined the modern with the historic. The medieval ground floor of the Louvre, contained walls lined with exposed bricks, highlighting the aspects of a fortress – one fortress that I feel very lucky to be a part of.
A master of classical tailoring with a futuristic twist Ghesquière turned to 18th century French aristocratic garments as the starting point for the collection. This futuristic twist, which is ever so Vuitton, was the reveal of the new chunky sole LV sneaker.
It’s safe to say that LV really did bring the future back… Bravo Bravo we say!
